Paola Tristan Arruda is the WGAL News 8 Today traffic anchor.

Paola previously worked at WCSC Live 5 News in Charleston, South Carolina. During her time as a general assignment reporter, she covered all types of news including the 2020 South Carolina primary, the Democratic Presidential Debate and COVID-19 related stories. She also experienced three hurricane seasons, reporting on all of them.

Paola is a trilingual journalist, speaking Portuguese, Spanish, and English. She is a graduate from Emerson College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. She received a NATAS New England student Emmy for her participation in a short documentary about life in Havana, Cuba.

In her spare time, you’ll find her exploring the Susquehanna Valley, watching movies, and eating good food.
