Emmy-award winning Katelyn Smith is the co-anchor of WGAL News 8 Today weekday mornings from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m.

Katelyn is no stranger to the Susquehanna Valley, growing up in Carlisle and graduating from Carlisle High School and Shippensburg University. Katelyn loves being closer to family after spending three years in the Midwest, at stations in Illinois and Iowa.

Katelyn, who many of her friends in Carlisle call "Katie," started at WGAL in December 2004.

When not at work, you'll find Katelyn and her husband Joel enjoying time with their two children, and traveling to Grandma and Grandpa's in Carlisle and Maryland.

Katelyn also enjoys running and watching movies.
