Emergency crews were called to the scene of a fire in Ephrata, Lancaster County.According to dispatch, firefighters were called to the 100 block of West Fulton Street just after noon.When crews arrived, there was thick black smoke coming from the home.The call was upgraded to a second alarm with heavy fire reported.It took nearly two hours to get the fire under control.Emergency dispatch says a number of firefighters were treated at the scene for exhaustion.The Red Cross was called to assist fire victims.The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Police Fire Marshal.
