REST OF THE WORLD. NOW NOW THE WGAL NEWS EIGHT STORM TEAM FORECAST WITH METEOROLOGIST TJ SPRINGER. IF YOU’RE FLYING IN THE FRIENDLY SKY EAST OF US TODAY WHERE THOSE STORMS ARE CRUISING THROUGH COULD HAVE SOME MINOR DELAYS. IT’S MOVING PRETTY QUICKLY, THOUGH. SOME GOOD NEWS. THE SAME LINE THAT SPARKED UP THAT TORNADO WARNING HERE IN LANCASTER COUNTY AND AGAIN IN CHESTER COUNTY. NOTHING TORNADO WARNING NOW, BUT LOTS OF LIGHTNING, SOME SMALL HAIL AND SOME GUSTY WIND AS THIS AREA OF LOW PRESSURE UPSTAIRS IN THE ATMOSPHERE CONTINUES IMPACT US HERE AT HOME. WE CAN SEE A FEW MORE SHOWERS OUT TO THE WEST ON SUPER DOPPLER 8. AND AS WE CLEAR A LITTLE BIT, THAT WILL ALLOW FOR SOME INSTABILITY TO DEVELOP. AND I THINK THAT COULD BRING ANOTHER ROUND OF HIT OR MISS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON. THIS WAS OUR BIG CONCERN, THOUGH. WE HAVE THAT SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AND A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING. A COUPLE OF THEM THAT ARE STILL ONGOING ACROSS THE I-95 CORRIDOR, SOUTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA, NOW REALLY INTO A GOOD CHUNK OF SOUTH CENTRAL NEW JERSEY. SO MAYBE YOU’RE HEADING DOWN TO THE JERSEY BEACHES THIS WEEKEND. THIS COULD IMPACT YOU DRIVING EASTBOUND AT LEAST THROUGH THE EARLY AFTERNOON. STARTING TO CLEAR A LITTLE BIT HERE IN THE CITY OF LANCASTER. I KNOW WE HEARD THAT CELEBRATE LANCASTER SADLY BEEN POSTPONED TODAY FOR THE POTENTIAL OF SOME THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON. HOPEFULLY WE’LL GET A NEW DATE FOR THAT. I MENTIONED THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH THAT IS INCLUDED, INCLUDING CHESTER COUNTY AND EAST WARD FROM THERE THROUGH 6:00 TONIGHT, WHERE THE INGREDIENTS ARE STILL FAVORABLE FOR THE POTENTIAL OF STRONGER STORMS. BACK CLOSER TO HOME, THOUGH, AFTER THE MORNING RAIN EXITS, WE ARE EXPECTING SOME HIT OR MISS THUNDER SHOWERS DURING THE AFTERNOON. IT’LL BE MILDER WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID TO UPPER 70S OVERNIGHT. THOSE COME TO AN END. WE’LL START TO CLEAR SOME, BUT WITH THAT WE COULD SEE SOME PATCHY FOG WITH THE MOISTURE IN THE GROUND. NOW UPPER 50S TO LOWER 60S FOR OUR OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES. THEN TOMORROW WE’RE BACK INTO THE UPPER 70S AND LOWER 80S. STILL MAY SEE A STRAY SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM AS THAT UPPER LEVEL LOW CONTINUES TO MOVE EASTBOUND. STILL PROVIDING MAYBE ENOUGH LIFT FOR ONE TO SPARK UP IN THE HEATING OF THE DAY. WE’RE AT 62 IN GROVE, 65 NOW IN YORK, 70 ON THE NOSE IN GETTYSBURG. WE HAVE 65 IN CARLISLE. IT IS GOING TO BE A COOLER DAY. AND WITH THE RAIN THAT JUST MOVED THROUGH, IT’S DEFINITELY COOLER. HERE’S A PREDICTOR. THERE GOES THE LINE FROM THIS MORNING. BUT WE CAN SEE THROUGH 3:00. WE’RE DEFINITELY GETTING IT ON SOME HIT OR MISS SHOWERS AND RUMBLES. NOT ALL OF US WILL SEE RAIN THIS AFTERNOON, BUT THE POTENTIAL IS THERE THROUGH DINNERTIME, THE SAME STORY. BUT ONCE WE LOSE THAT DAYTIME DRIVEN INSTABILITY, THESE WILL START TO SETTLE DOWN AND WE’LL SEE SOME OF THAT CLEARING AS WE PROGRESS THROUGH THE WEE HOURS OF OUR SATURDAY MORNING. TOMORROW REALLY DOES LOOK GREAT. I DON’T THINK CHANCES ARE HIGH WHATSOEVER IF WE’RE SEEING A RAIN SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM HOUR. BUT WE WANTED TO INCLUDE THAT SLIM CHANCE JUST IN CASE HIGHER CHANCES ARE OFF TO THE NORTH AND EAST. NOW, WE DO HAVE ANOTHER POTENTIAL FOR MAYBE A QUICK QUARTER OF AN INCH OR SO. IT’S GOING TO BE SPOTTY, BUT ANYTHING WE DO GET, ANYONE WHO GETS UNDER THUNDERSHOWER OR CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY AS THAT WILL CONTINUE TO CHIP AWAY AT THE DROUGHT LITTLE BY LITTLE. NOW OUR NEWS EIGHT STORM TEAM, TEN DAY FORECAST THOSE TEMPERATURES BACK INTO THE MIDDLE 80S FOR DADS ON FATHER’S DAY, 86 ON JUNETEENTH, A WARM KICKOFF TO NEXT WEEK AND IT LOOKS OVERALL DRY. NOT AS POSSIBLY UNSETTLED IS WHAT WE WERE ORIGINALLY THINKING. SOME ARE OFFICIALLY BEGINS ON WEDNESDAY WITH A HIGH AROUND 82ND MAY SEE A SPOTTY SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM REALLY EACH DAY MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY. BUT THEN WE’RE A LITTLE DRIER
