Hazardous air quality readings in south-central Pennsylvania
The latest readings show that air quality levels are hazardous in south-central Pennsylvania.
“It is still incredibly smoky with reduced visibility around the Susquehanna Valley. We are currently at hazardous air quality readings,” WGAL Meteorologist Christine Ferreira said.
Christine said we can expect a “very slim improvement” in air quality as the day goes on.
“It’s really best to just kind of wait and take it day by day to see how that smoke plume thins out,” Christine said.
A change in wind direction should start to move some of the smoke out of Pennsylvania. By Friday and Saturday, air quality levels should rebound to moderate.
