Taylor Swift gives '22' hat to Harrisburg boy during Philadelphia concert
About 200,000 people saw three sold-out Taylor Swift shows at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia over the weekend.
Swift, who is from Berks County, is known for her fierce fan base.
And Sunday night's concert turned out to be extra special for a mother and son from Harrisburg, who ended up getting a moment with their favorite singer that they will never forget.
"I'm still a little bit in shock. It all feels very surreal," Kelly Bardon said.
Bardon and her son, Milo Haddad, are big Taylor Swift fans.
"I just like her music a lot," Haddad said.
So going to see her in concert that night was already special.
"I wanted to be able to experience that with him, and that was our big Mother's Day plan," Bardon said.
After struggling to get tickets – like many fans – Barden was finally able to score floor seats after more tickets were made available.
"We both wore jackets that were styled after jackets that she wore for her 'Lover' tour press. His said 'Heartbreak Prince' on the back, which is a nod to 'Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince,' which she's been opening with in this tour," Bardon said.
But they had no idea what was in store when Swift sang "22."
Out of the blue, the staff asked Bardon and 7-year-old Haddad to follow them.
"I was just kind of terrified. They just said, 'Can you follow us?' and we didn't really know what was happening," Bardon said.
This is what happened next: Haddad got to sit on the end of the stage and received the souvenir of a lifetime.
"She gave me a hat, gave me a high five and a thumbs up," Haddad said.
"I think I kind of disassociated for about 10 minutes. I got to be at the end of the runway, literally the best seats in the entire house, experiencing that with him and just seeing his excitement of her coming up and waving to him and making eye contact with him was just kind of insane," Bardon said.
Haddad now proudly shows off his new hat.
"I'm the 22nd person in the whole world to get the '22' hat signed by Taylor," Haddad said.
And mother and son have a Mother's Day memory they will never forget.
"It's a one in 70,000 chance of one person, and that one person being my kid. It's just very exciting and special," Bardon said.
Bardon and Haddad don't know why he was picked to get the hat, but the giveaway is something that Swift has been doing during that song at every concert on the Eras Tour.
