THE BOY KNEW WHAT TO DO WHEN HIS MOM HAD A SEIZURE. SHE SUFFERS FROM EPILEPSY. 911. POLICE SAY THE YOUNGSTER STAYED ON THE LINE WITH THE COUNTY DISPATCHER, ADVISED EMS AND POLICE OF HIS MOTHER’S CONDITION AND ULTIMATELY SAVED HER LIFE WITH HER MOM, TELLING HER TO STAY COOL, CALM, STAY CALM. COMMISSIONER MULDROW WAS CLEARLY IMPRESSED. CAN I SHAKE YOUR HAND? YES. YOU’RE THE BOY’S MOM. MOM IS PROUD OF HER SON. I NEVER, EVER, EVER THOUGHT HE WOULD DO THIS. POLICE PRESENTED THE BOY WITH SOME GIFTS AND GAVE HIM A TOUR OF POLICE HEADQUARTERS. I BETTER GET TO WORK. WELL, POLICE SAY THAT IT’S A GOOD IDEA TO PREPARE YOUR KIDS FOR THE DAY. THEY MAY FACE AN EMERGENCY LIKE THIS ONE. PREPARE THEM FOR CALLING 911. AND AS FOR JAMES. BIG DAY HERE AT POLICE HEADQUARTERS.

A 4-year-old York boy is being credited with saving his mother's life.James Ette's mom suffers from epilepsy. When she had a seizure, the boy kept his cool and called 911.Ette stayed on the line with emergency dispatchers and advised EMS and police of his mom's condition.Police Commissioner Michael Muldrow on Thursday presented Ette with a certificate for his bravery.The boy is being called a hero."It was pretty special out there on scene. I have grandkids, so maybe one day they would do that for me or their parents," Officer Michael Harris said. Ette's parents said they're very proud.

A 4-year-old York boy is being credited with saving his mother's life.

James Ette's mom suffers from epilepsy. When she had a seizure, the boy kept his cool and called 911.

Police Commissioner Michael Muldrow on Thursday presented Ette with a certificate for his bravery.
