As the pandemic evolved and unemployment claims skyrocketed, it became clear that access to food was going to be a life threatening issue.
In typical times one in ten families struggle with hunger. During this crisis parts of our community have seen that triple.
That’s why we partnered with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank to create the Feed Your Neighbors campaign.
In uncertain times like these, we know decisions about money are hard even when your nature is to give.
But once again, you have shown us and our community just how generous you are.
You’ve raised more than 350-thousand dollars to help the families in our community struggling with one of life’s most basic needs. Because of you 22 thousand families in our communitywill have food on their table tomorrow.
From all of us at WGAL and from our partners at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, thank you, you are helping to make our community a better place to live.
