For families all over Pennsylvania the coronavirus pandemic has had a profound impact.
But if access to food and other critical needs aren’t among the things that keep you up at night you are among themore fortunate.
Massive layoffs, furloughs and hours reductions have pushed the demand at food banks to all-time highs.
That’s why we’re partnering with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank to help fill that need.
In a typical month the food bank produces about 10,000 boxes of food.
Now they’re supplying that amount in just two days.
Our communities have proven to be so generous we see that each and every year.
So now in this hour of need we’re asking if you can help your neighbors.
If you’re in a position to help, head over to WGAL.com, you’ll see a link to the WGAL 8 Online Food Drive. Just follow it to the donation page.
So far there have been 636 donations raising at total of $72,662.
We want to thank the folks at the food bank for all the work they’re doing to meet this extraordinary need, and thank you for considering how you can help.
