Lori Burkholder

Lori Burkholder is the co-anchor of News 8 at 6 p.m. and News 8 at 10 p.m. weekdays on WGAL.

Lori started at WGAL in 1989 and has held many positions over the years. She hosted and produced "Susquehanna People," a weekly public affairs program, hosted and produced "12:30 Live" for its entire 10-year run, anchored for News 8 at Noon and anchored for News 8 Today.

Lori has won several Emmy's and AP awards and reports on a variety of issues. She's gotten to work on special projects such as the Olympic Games of 2006 and 2008. She reported from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, gave viewers an inside look at death row, reported from the aircraft of the 193rd Special Operations Wing and went one on one with that other morning news team in New York, "The Today Show."

Lori has interviewed politicians both nationally and locally as well as celebrities, but her favorite stories are the ones that happen in our communities and affect people in their daily lives.

When not covering the news, Lori spends time speaking at many events, enjoys running and renovating her 18th century home.

Lori grew up in Dauphin County and graduated from Millersville University with a journalism degree. Lori is married to Jeff with whom she has two children, a daughter Taylor and a son Tommy.
